YouTube’s picture-in-picture viewing option will soon be available to Android users. The feature was first introduced for the video app’s subscription service YouTube TV, and then was extended to what was previously YouTube Red and is now Premium and Music.
But last month some non-Premium users noticed the option being available to them on the app. Users can now navigate through other apps while a minimized screen of a video from YouTube plays in a corner. No word yet on how long rolling out the feature will take, or if there are plans to make the option available to the iOS app.
