At the China Mobile Global Partner Conference in Guangzhou, China, Xiaomi announced that the company will launch a new flagship that will have a 5G and the latest Snapdragon chipset platform.
Xiaomi demonstrated the 5G version of its Mi MIX 3 with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. The new Mi MIX 3 will have X50 5G modem that includes up to 2Gbps download speed. The company also showed the use of the 5G network in Web surfing and live video streaming.
Xiaomi added in a blog post “In September 2018, Xiaomi took the lead in building 5G signaling and data link connections, laying the foundation for 5G commercial use.”
The company has confirmed to participate in the first wave of 5G pre-commercial field test which will be launched China Mobile next year. The new version of Mi MIX 3 will also launch in Europe in the first quarter of 2019.
