According to The Verge, Xiaomi announced its new version of the streaming player at Google’s annual hardware event.
The new Mi Box S has 95.25mm in length, 95.25mm in width, 16.7mm of thickness, and 147 grams. The Box S has an output resolution of 4K or 4096 x 2160. The device runs with Android 8.1, Cortex-A53 Quad-core 64bit and Mali-450 GPU. The storage has 2GB of RAM and 8GM of ROM. The connectivity has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connection. The other features are video decoder which includes 4K@60fps,VP9,H.265,H.264,MPEG1/2/4,VC-1,and Real8/9/10. The video format has RM, MOV, VOB, AVI, MKV, TS, Mp4, and 3D. In audio decoder, it only has DOLBY and DTS. For audio formats it includes MPE, APE, and Flac. Lastly, image decoder has JPG, BMP, GI, PNG, and TIF type. The languages are globally supported.
The Mi Box S is now available for pre-orders and will start shipping on October 19th with a starting price of $59.99.
