As a part of X Spaces, the addition of a new feature called “Conferences” might support meetings on X, just like Google Meet. However, there is still no confirmation regarding when the feature will be available to everyone.
X brings in “Conferences” : Know more about the feature
In the last few months, Elon Musk has added several innovative features on X such as Grok AI and a functionality like LinkedIn to help X users so that they can find a job through the platform. However, it looks like the developers are currently working on a new feature that allows users to host meetings and web conferences through the platform, almost like Google Meet.
A recent post on X by the handle @xDaily said “PREVIEW: X might be working on hosting conferences on X spaces”. The feature could be a part of X Spaces that allows users to host live audio conversations on the platform.
Is “Conferences” different from Spaces?
The post on X by the handle @xDaily did not reveal if Conferences will be any different from Spaces. However, it looks like that the upcoming feature will allow users to initiate personal group video and audio calls.
X Spaces are public; therefore anyone who is on the platform can join as a listener on Spaces. However, the upcoming web conference feature might reportedly hinder random people from entering group calls and meetings. So this feature brings in better safety and privacy besides bringing in an experience like Google Meet.
When will this feature be available?
As of now, there is no confirmation regarding when this feature will be available for everyone on X.
The platform has ruled out several innovative and new features within the last few months such as the ability to call other X users directly from the app community notes to name a few. The platform has also incorporated Artificial Intelligence Technology through Grok AI and a functionality like LinkedIn to help X users so that they can find a job through the platform.
