WhatsApp now brings you DTC and DIMTS tickets by messaging a number. On Wednesday, Meta announced a QR ticketing service that can be accessed via WhatsApp for DTC ( Delhi Transport Corporation) commuters in the Delhi -NCR.

This QR ticketing service is available in two languages- Hindi and English. DTC commuters in the Delhi- NCR can use this service by texting a “Hi’ to the number +91 8744073223 or by scanning the QR code given below.
Users travelling on DTC and DIMTS (Delhi Integrated Multi-Modal Transit System Limited) routes are allowed by this service to book tickets for single-journey. In a press statement, Ravi Garg, Business Messaging, Meta India, said -“Each day, millions of commuters rely on local transport services for their daily commutes. We are delighted to introduce the DTC chatbot that aims to redefine travel experience and offer streamlined and efficient transit solutions for commuters across the Delhi NCR region. The introduction of DTC’s QR ticketing service through WhatsApp represents a significant stride in enhancing customer experience, offering a more sophisticated and intelligent approach to local travel”.
Meta via WhatsApp also offers a quick purchase feature for the commuters who frequently travel on the same route with the help of this WhatsApp-based QR ticketing service.
Meta had partnered with Delhi Metro last year for expanding the WhatsApp -based ticketing experience and service to the rapid metro routes of Delhi, Noida and Gurugram.
