Nothing, a consumer electronics company founded and executed by Carl Pei has some news for the public. Founder & CEO teased that the new earbuds from Nothing Ear (2) will have an upgraded IP54 rating for water and dust protection, as well as support the high-resolution audio LHDC 5.0 codec, in an interview with Forbes. This model might just be available to the public on the 22nd of March, 2023. Nothing has hinted at a few of their specs and details on their social media pages and official website.
In a recent interview with Forbes, CEO confirmed the fact that the upcoming Nothing Ear (2) earbuds will include an improved IP54 for water and dust resistance. This is a step up from Nothing Ear (1) IPX4. The teaser available on their official website also hints at the idea of the new earbuds being supported by LHSC 5.0 codec for enhanced and higher-resolution audio.
The second teaser on Nothing’s website has a poster of a beetle with see-through wings, which might suggest the possible design of the upcoming earbuds. Everyone is on their toes about this ‘weird but interesting’ design.
Reports suggest the Nothing Ear (2) Earbuds might have a transparent body which exposes the internal components of the device, much like the Nothing Ear (1) version. The earbuds have also believed to support Multipoint Bluetooth connectivity – aka this enables them to connect to two devices at the same time.
The promotional posters plastered have seemed to leak a few other additional features regarding Nothing Ear (2). They are expected to come with a 10mm dynamic driver, paired with touch controls, active noise cancellation (ANC), and wireless charging along with an impressive battery life of up to 36 hours taking note of the case.
Studies suggest that The Nothing Ear (2) might give a run for its money to the other high-end wireless earbuds available in the market. This might include some of the highly popular and established – Apple AirPods Pro, Sony WF – 1000XM4, and Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro. This won’t be evident until we can unveil the price of this magnificent earpiece.
