Truecaller launched its web version on Wednesday, April 10. However, as of now the web version of Truecaller is only available for the Android users. It is compatible across all modern web browsers and can be accessed from both PC or Mac.
Truecaller Web
With the web version of Truecaller, users can search for unknown numbers and access the Truecaller SMS inbox on their browser. Handling unknown calls or messages will now become easier as users can not only use the web version of the platform to read and respond to text messages and chats from their PC but also receive real-time incoming notifications of message and call alerts. Users can attach multiple files up to 100 MB through the platform and look up for unknown numbers with ease.
How to use Truecaller Web?
You can open the app on your device and access Truecaller Web by visiting ‘web.trueceller.com’ . On your phone, head over to the Messages section of Truecaller app. Click on the three-dot menu and select “Truecaller for Web”. After selecting this option, you can link your device by selecting “Link Device” and pointing your phone at the QR code that will be displayed in the browser.
Truecaller is supposedly limiting the number of active sessions as of now and will automatically log users out of the platform if they are inactive for 30 days. Users will be able to manually unlink a browser just like WhatsApp and Telegram. Telegram Web is currently rolling out in the beta mode. However, developers of the company will keep introducing new features in the days to come.
Searching for unknown numbers on the website had certain rate limitations for the users. However, it seems that there are no such restrictions for the web version of Truecaller. This implies users can easily search for as many numbers as they want.
