Prior to the smartphone revolution, mobile phones were all about design. People didn’t care about specifications, so the main competition was who had the best and most appealing designs. Smartphones eventually entered the picture and changed everything. Design is now less important. It all comes down to specifications, which is why some manufacturers can offer the same design year after year and still make a good profit.
Smartphone manufacturers have gradually shifted consumer preferences away from design and toward performance, display quality, charging speed, and even phone camera performance. Among all of these features, the one that customers are most proud of is the phone’s camera.
Camera phones have become an integral part of our daily lives.
Top 5 Camera Phones in 2022
5. Xiaomi 12S Ultra
The Xiaomi 12S Ultra is ranked fifth. A flagship device that will be available in July 2022. This is the first flagship device to be released under the Leica camera brand. I must say that they have done an excellent job with their collaboration. No one expected their first device to receive such a high score as new partners, as it will take some time for the engineers to really understand themselves.
4. Huawei Mate 40 Pro Plus
For 2020, the camera king was the Huawei Mate 40 Pro+. Dropping from first to fourth place indicates that the king has lost its throne. But it’s 2022, not 2020, and technology is constantly evolving. Even though the Mate 4 Pro+ lost its top spot, it deserves to be recognised for making this list. Because there are 2022 flagships that aren’t even in the top 5.
3. Xiaomi MI 11 Ultra, iPhone 13 Pro, and 13 Pro Max
Under certain conditions, the competition for the best camera performances can be a close one. A condition similar to what is currently occurring. As you can see, all three phones finished third.
2. Huawei Mate 50 Pro
Unlike its predecessor, the Mate 50 Pro was unable to top this list. However, it remains a beast in terms of camera features. That cannot be discounted. However, Huawei has yet to release an update for the camera. But, until that happens, the Mate 50 Pro is ranked second on this list.
1. Honor Magic4 Ultimate
Surprising, surprising! The new king has arrived. Honor phones were supposed to be a Huawei sub-brand. However, US sanctions forced Huawei to sell it. In fact, no one expected an Honor phone to ever top this list. Especially if they are no longer linked to Huawei. But here we are, with the Honor Magic 4 Ultimate occupying the top spot on this list.
