The Internet has been speculating about Apple iPhone 15 for a while which is the next in line. The most recent leaks have hinted at the much-awaited periscope camera and the fact that it will make itself known in Apple’s Premium iPhone lineup; but as always there is a catch. Apple’s analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo has revealed that the periscope camera is to make its appearance in one model exclusively – which are the iPhone 15 Ultra & the iPhone 16 Ultra. This is a premium feature, limited to the luxuries of owning the finest Apple smartphone.
The tech industry is surprised by Apple’s latest statement as they had expected the periscopic lens to be an integral part of both iPhone 16 Pro models. This lens allows for a longer optical zone which is a game changer for smartphone photographers. The foldable lens design enables the camera to fit a longer zoom in smaller places which in turn results in a much higher zoom with the digital cropping.
Kuo, the supplier of this much-raved, glorious lens predicts that Apple would eventually turn to alternate suppliers named Genius, and Largan in place of Samsung. But what makes iPhone 15 Ultra so special is that it gets to be the recipient of such a dream camera. This choice might be influenced by all the impacted revenue projections of Apple which provide the lens, but the actual reason is still in the dark.
A point that should be taken into consideration is the name ‘iPhone 15 Ultra’ is just a placeholder, which leads us to believe that Apple’s naming scheme might change in the future. Previous leaks of the iPhone 15 Ultra have suggested a rounder body which will be a major change for Apple’s smartphone prototype. It’s been a while since Apple has revisited their designs and this might just be it. The new design is also said o host a type-c USB port – an update that Apple customers have been eagerly looking forward to.
Kuo has been our ever-so-promising supplier of leaks, as they tease the product with news on the latest Apple gadgets. As a long-time compliance, his statements on periscope cameras might just be spot on. Consumers will still have to wait for the official launch of the Apple iPhone 15 series to know more about the glamorous device. Traditionally, this launch won’t be until September 15, 2023.
