Snapchat announces the new Snap Map where the users can share their exact location and can request for their friend’s location through message according to TechCrunch.
Snapchat’s new feature is accessed only through few users because it is still rolling out globally. Snapchat added users can only send or request locations to their friend who followed them back so that the privacy of the user is still there and they can only share their location to selected people especially celebrities who can easily hide their location. They can also choose to turn off requests of other subscribers in their settings to avoid spammers.
The shared location of a user will appear within 8 hours and can stop the user’s location anytime. This update will be available to all iOS and Android users in a few weeks.
