Many chatbots created with artificial intelligence are gaining popularity around the world. ChatGPT, which debuted in November of last year, quickly gained popularity, with students using the dialogue bot to write answers in exams and complete assignments. The competition became so fierce that Google was forced to release its chatbot ‘Bard’ ahead of schedule.

However, it provided inaccurate information in a promotional video, causing Alphabet Inc, Google’s parent company, to lose $100 billion in market value on Wednesday. Now, a Google engineer has released ‘GitaGPT,’ his version of an AI chatbot. The chatbot from AI brings the “wisdom of Bhagavad Gita to the modern world through AI”, according to the description on Twitter.

A software development engineer, named Sukuru Sai Vineet created GitaGPT at the tech giant. Users can use the app to ask questions, which the AI chatbot will answer by referring to the Bhagavad Gita. “You can gain insight and clarity into your life’s decisions in an easy, interactive way with Gita GPT.”

Before providing solutions, GitaGPT analyses the Bhagavad Gita lectures on the precise inquiries of its users. Mr Vineet demonstrated how the chatbot operates. “What is the meaning of life?” he inquired.

The bot responded, “According to the Bhagavad Gita, the meaning of life is to strive for liberation from old age and death by taking refuge in God and realizing Brahman, the knowledge of the Self and all action. It is to work for the sake of sacrifice and be devoted to God with detachment and a firm grasp of knowledge. The ultimate goal is to reach the glorious Supreme Person.”

In another case, the developer mentioned “his difficulty” in finding a house in Bengaluru. “Our true abode is in Brahman,” the bot stated. “I understand how difficult it can be to find a home in Bengaluru. The Bhagavad Gita, on the other hand, teaches us that our true home is in Brahman, the immortal and immutable source of everlasting Dharma and absolute bliss. As we continue our search for a home, let us remember this and find solace in it “, it stated. Along with the query, GitaGPT listed the relevant verses.
