Portable chargers keep your devices charged while you are on the go. They can charge a wide range of devices, including phones, tablets, Nintendo Switch consoles, and even laptops when we need them the most. You will need a dependable portable charger because you will inevitably find yourself out of the house with low battery life.
We ran a battery (pun intended) of tests on ten of the best portable chargers on the market, including models from both major brands and well-known competitors. Testing included determining how quickly devices charged and how many full phone chargers each power bank could store. While these specific portable chargers appear on bestseller lists on a regular basis, they differ in a number of important ways.
Our tests were carried out on the same iPhone 12, with the brightness set to 100%. We evaluated each charger in four ways: how much charge is added in 15 minutes, how much it was added in an hour, how long it took to recharge an iPhone from dead to 100 percent, and how many times it could recharge the same iPhone 12 from dead.

However, because it is so close to the INIU, we must keep it as the #2-ranked portable charger. These bricks are so close that they are practically within testing margins of error. If you only need to charge one device at a time and the Slim 10000 is significantly less expensive than the INIU, go for it.

In terms of internal capacity, the Poweradd did not actually beat the Anker, but it came close, with a 97 percent to 105 percent margin of victory. And the difference is not significant enough to warrant a ding. So, what makes the Poweradd stick so high on our list of the best portable chargers?
It is frequently the cheapest on this list, typically costing around $10.99 (nearly half the price of comparable chargers). It also weighs slightly less than the 4.7-ounce Anker PowerCore 5000. The updated Poweradd Slim 2(opens in a new tab) has received over 500 reviews and a 4.4 out of 5 rating on Amazon. “It is significantly larger, but with four times the charge capacity of the usual little cylinders.” It can charge both a kindle and a smartphone.

Furthermore, it delivered the best performance in the 1-hour charging window, charging our dead iPhone 12 to 81 percent of its capacity. And its 1-hour and 57-minute charge time for the iPhone is the second-best of the bunch, trailing only the PowerCore Slim 10000 by a minute. With 4.78 iPhone 12 refills, its high capacity of 20000 mAh meant it refueled an iPhone more than most of these chargers. This product has received 4.6 out of 5 stars from nearly 4,500 Amazon customers.

Its 15-minute and 1-hour charging scores (20% and 71%, respectively) are on the higher end of the scoring ranges. The only slight disappointment is that it only has one USB-A out port, but given its small size, this is understandable.
However, portability is one of its main advantages, as you will not have your entire crew expecting you to keep their phones charged if you do not have a tank of portable chargers with you. This product has received 4.4 out of 5 stars from nearly 200 Amazon customers.
