Telegram has been planning to launch a premium layer. Recently, the company’s founder and CEO, Pavel Durov, confirmed the rumours of a premium layer circulating on the internet since last month.
Telegram Premium, as it will be known, will be available by the end of the month. Before you get too worked up, remember that all the current free features will remain available. New features will be added to the free tier in the future. However, most of the features will be available for free.

Telegram’s Premium subscription service debuted in early May. It also teased cute stickers and emojis available only to the paying users. Meanwhile, Telegram Premium is said to cost $4.99 per month. However, it is not confirmed yet. So, for the time being, we can take it in as a grain.
The Telegram founder confirmed in 2021 that they are looking into ways to begin stuffing ads on the platform. In addition to ads, the messaging service is developing a paid subscription tier that will allow users to access exclusive features.

The feature-rich instant messaging app also allows users to make voice and video calls and send large files. Most of the features will remain free for regular users. According to Durov, only power users who require more features and larger abilities will have to invest in Telegram Premium.
Telegram was launched in 2013. The app is free for all users for the last nine years. According to Durov, adding more features and capabilities to Telegram for all participants would make the platform’s server and traffic costs “unmanageable.”
However, paid subscribers will have access to premium features such as sending extra-large documents, media, and stickers.
