T-Mobile US Inc. is said to delay the release date of its upcoming TV service after the announcement that it will launch this year.
According to the report Bloomberg, Chief Executive Officer John Legere confirmed that the “disruptive TV service” would upend the television industry, and it was delayed launch because it harder to get the new program finish in time. The new product will “take the fight to big cable and satellite TV,” based on the CEO.
Bloomberg added “T-Mobile executives faced the difficult choice of either offering a garden-variety streaming platform — a service that lets customers watch cable channels and other content online — or waiting until next year to deliver a more groundbreaking product, the people said.”
T-Mobile has not yet confirmed if the new service will have a specific launch date because the company declined to comment about the issue.
