Steam introduced the all-new Steam Chat which includes a new friends list, chat, and voice chat features.
The all-new Steam Chat has five new features for more flexible friend list that can be customized by users. First, the “Favorites” which will be located at the top of the friend list, including user’s friends, groups, and chat. Second, the “Group By Game” which user’s in-game friends are being grouped according to the game they are playing. Third, the “Rich Presence”, where user’s friend’s status in playing is located below their name whether they are playing Dota 2, starting a game, and more. Fourth, “By Party”, users will able to see who’s playing together and they have an access to watch their friend’s match. Last, “Group Chats” which users create a list of friends in a group and help them to send a message in a multiple account.
The new features also include a voice chat, where users can talk to each other in a voice channel.
The company announced that the new feature is available in Steam client and web browser.
