After its announcement at CES 2018 of releasing an update on support for Google Assistant, Sony looks to be keeping their promise.
First reported by Android Police, Sony now offers deeper support for Google Assistant on their WH-1000XM2 and WI-1000X headsets. The update will make push-to-talk calls much faster, is compatible with Assistant on iOS devices and notifications can be read aloud to you via Assistant.
To get the update working after installing it, switch your noise cancellation option for Google Assistant instead in the Settings.
Sony had promised Google Assistant support updates on more of its devices such as the WF-1000X, WH-CH900N, and h.ear on 2 WH-H900N models, so best be on the lookout for even more updates from them.
