Microsoft and Qualcomm Technologies Inc. together introduced the SnapdragonDev Kit for Windows. Specifically created for developers designing or optimizing apps and experiences for the future generation of AI PCs, this little PC is powered by a Snapdragon X Elite processor.
Developers will have access to state-of-the-art technology when a variety of laptops from the Snapdragon X Series arrive on store shelves, allowing them to create fully optimized software and AI experiences.
By utilizing the native Windows on Snapdragon toolchain, which consists of Visual Studio/VSCode and many runtimes, libraries, and frameworks, developers may promptly modify and recompile Windows apps for Snapdragon through the Dev Kit. This guarantees a better experience for PC users.
An accelerated Developer Edition of the Snapdragon X Elite processor, a variety of connectors, and a form factor that works with developers’ multi-monitor setups are all included in the Snapdragon Dev Kit for Windows.
“The goal of the Snapdragon Dev Kit for Windows is to jumpstart the development of the next wave of on-device AI applications for PCs,”
stated Kedar Kondap, general manager of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.’s compute and gaming division and senior vice president.
“With this system, developers can create the AI apps of the future thanks to our potent Qualcomm OryonTM CPU and 45 TOPS NPU.”
