Last year, Snapchat’s Spectacle first edition was launched and had flopped. Snap Inc., the parent company of Snapchat reported that it had $40 million unsold products on November 2017.
Snap claimed the second edition Spectacle “hands-free camera” to take or create video clips and directly uploaded to the user’s Snapchat if they want to. Snap upgraded Spectacle with more muted colors, Onyx, Ruby and Sapphire. It was created with more time for video clips from 10 seconds (the first edition) to 20 or 30 seconds videos and is water resistant.
Spectacle is now available in the US and consumers can buy through their official website at $130 with additional fee for shipping or in Amazon at the same price with free shipping fee. Snap added that Spectacle is not in one size fits all and if the buyers received it with damage, they can easily return it with their receipt within 30 days.
