The Samsung Galaxy A35 and Samsung Galaxy A55 are the newest additions to Samsung’s A series of Galaxy devices. As the less expensive model in relation to the A55, the new A35 has many of the high-end versions’ features.

In addition, the Samsung Galaxy A35, which replaces the A34, has various improvements. The Exynos 1380 chip, which we have seen in the A54, powers the phone instead of a MediaTek processor. In comparison to the A34, the camera section has also seen some improvements.

Build

The design language of the Galaxy A35 is recognizable as it has been used by Samsung in their latest A-series phones. It is an improvement over its predecessor, the Galaxy A34, which had an all-plastic structure, with a dual-glass construction and a plastic frame. There are three color possibilities for the device: Navy, Lilac, and Iceblue.

Samsung has enhanced its front-facing display protection with a Gorilla Glass Victus+ sheet. Additionally, the gadget has an under-display fingerprint sensor that functions rather quickly and precisely. An additional feature that is appreciated for increased durability is the Galaxy A35’s IP67 classification for dust and water resistance.

A design cue carried over from the A55, the phone’s right side has a raised bump that holds the volume sliders and power button.

A hybrid SIM tray on the device’s top side gives consumers the option to expand capacity via a microSD card or a second SIM card. On top, there’s a microphone as well. A speaker, a Type-C port, and two symmetrical microphones are located on the bottom side.

Display

With a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, the Samsung Galaxy A35 boasts impressive visuals.

Samsung decided to use a circular cutout for the selfie camera, a design decision that has gained popularity recently. The Super AMOLED screen technology allows for vibrant colors and crisp images on the display.

Operating System

Based on the most recent version of the Android 14 operating system, Samsung’s One UI 6.1 skin powers the Galaxy A35. This is Samsung’s most recent iteration of One UI.

The processor

The Exynos 1380 chipset powers the Samsung Galaxy A35 smartphone. This mid-range processor has four Cortex-A78 cores clocked at up to 2.4GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores clocked at up to 2.0GHz in terms of CPU configuration. A Mali-G68 MP5 GPU, the same GPU used in the Galaxy A54, handles the graphics.

8GB of RAM is a welcome improvement over the previous model for the Galaxy A35 base model. Customers have the choice of 128GB or 256GB of internal storage, with the additional ability to use a microSD card to increase capacity even further.

Camera

In comparison to the Galaxy A34, the Samsung Galaxy A35 has an updated camera configuration. The enhanced 50MP primary camera, including a 1/1.96″ sensor size, f/1.8 aperture, PDAF, and OIS, is the main attraction. By default, this primary camera takes 12.5MP binned pictures that have an amazing dynamic range for its class, natural-looking colors, and excellent detail.

For its class, the 8MP ultra-wide camera performs admirably, delivering good clarity, contrast, and color fidelity with the primary camera. The Galaxy A35 also has a dedicated 5MP macro camera, which helps with taking precise close-up pictures. The 13MP front-facing camera, which can take pictures in either 9MP or 13MP quality, takes good selfies.

Battery

With moderate use, the 5,000mAh battery in the Galaxy A35 easily lasts for more than a day. As is customary with Samsung, there is no charger included in the box, which could be a hassle for certain customers. Regarding charging rates, the Galaxy A35 is capable of 25W rapid charging. It takes between 1:15 and 1:25 minutes to charge completely.

Conclusion

The new Samsung Galaxy A35, which retails for ₹27,999, may not set any performance records, but it offers a well-rounded experience with its dazzling appearance, IP67 certification, and a respectable camera configuration that is led by an improved 50MP primary shooter.
