Samsung revealed its new consumer SSD lineup that offers an exceptional speed and reliability which is said that have more access to the masses.
The Samsung 860 QVO SSD has a 2.5 inch form factor and interface of SATA 6Gbps. The 860 QVO has capacity storage of four terabytes, which is perfect in some standard model of desktops and laptops. The controller has Samsung MJC controller. The sequential read/write speed is up to 550/520 MB/s and the random read/write speed is up to 97K/89K IOPS.
Dr. Mike Mang, Samsung’s Vice President of Brand Product Marketing, Memory Business said “Today’s consumers are using, producing and storing more high-resolution files than ever, including 4K videos and graphics-intensive games, escalating demand for greater capacities and performance in storage devices,” Mang added “Samsung continues to lead the move toward multi-terabyte SSDs with the introduction of the Samsung 860 QVO, delivering fast performance, reliability and value to more consumers around the world.”
The 860 QVO SSD will be released globally starting in December with a retail price of $149.99 for the 1TB model. The company has not yet announced the price for its 2TB and 4TB models.
