Good news for gamers out there: Samsung is rolling out a new update for the 2018 QLED TVs that includes support for FreeSync, a synchronization technology for LCD screens that helps prevent screen tearing. Until now, FreeSync was previously only integrated in monitors. Last month, Microsoft’s Xbox One S and X had also announced it will be providing support for the feature.
However, FreeSync currently only supports 1080p resolution and causes issues with your screen’s brightness. FreeSync will be available on the NU8000, Q6FN, Q7FN, Q8FN, and Q9FN. To add the feature, look for Game Mode on the Settings menu.
