Following the success of its Redmi Pad 5G, Xiaomi’s subsidiary is now preparing to launch its new Redmi Pad 4G, which is expected to be a more affordable option.
The Redmi Pad 4G will be the world’s first tablet to receive Low Visual Fatigue Certification, an innovative certification service that combines objective testing with subjective experience to comprehensively evaluate the level of eye fatigue that a person will experience when using a display screen. The company has not yet revealed the launch date, but the specifications, images, and colours have been leaked.
The Redmi Pad 4G is expected to be powered by a 4G processor, the MediaTek Helio G99, to have an 8000mAh battery, and to be available in three colours: grey, silver, and green. Let’s take a closer look at the design and specifications.
Specifications and design of the Redmi Pad 4G (expected)
According to the latest rumours, the Redmi Pad 4G will have a 10.61-inch LCD panel with a 2,000 x 1,200-pixel resolution, a refresh rate of 90 Hz, 1 billion or more colours, a peak brightness of 400 nits, and a contrast ratio of 1500:1. It will be the first tablet to be certified as having Low Visual Fatigue. It will also have blue light reduction built in and narrow bezels around the display. The images also confirm the tablet’s three colour options: grey, silver, and green.
According to the tip, the Redmi Pad 4G will be powered by a 4G MediaTek Helio G99 processor and will run MIUI 13 based on Android 12. It is expected to be released in three variants: the base model with 3 GB RAM and 64 GB storage, the second model with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage, and the third, the Redmi Pad 5G with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. All variants are expected to use LPDDR4X + UFS 2.2 technology. The Redmi Pad 4G is expected to measure 250.3873.707.05mm and weigh 445 grammes due to its metal unibody design.
The Redmi Pad 4G will have an 8000 mAh battery
The Redmi Pad 4G is expected to come with an 8,000mAh battery and support for 18W fast charging. It is also rumoured that the company will include a 22.5W charger in the tablet box. It may also include quad Dolby Atmos speakers.
In terms of optics, the Redmi Pad 4G will have an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls, as well as Focus Frame technology. The tablet will also have an 8-megapixel camera sensor on the back panel.
