The Readdle Calendars app, which combines projects, to-dos, and reminders, is now accessible for Mac users. Readdle is well known for its PDF and document productivity tools for iOS (via 9to5Mac). Officially known as Calendars by Readdle, it joins the company’s lineup of Mac applications, which already includes PDF Expert and Spark email. Fans of the Calendars by Readdle software will be happy to learn that the Mac version of the programme syncs with the versions for the iPhone and iPad, and that cross-device access is included in the $19.99/year Pro membership fee. You can use the app’s primary calendar for free, but you won’t have access to the weekly planner function, meeting room reservations, weather, and other features that allow for interaction with other applications like Google Tasks and Apple’s Reminders. It’s also quite useful for setting up and starting Zoom meetings and other video conferences.
Fantastical, which also includes Mac, iPad, and iPhone apps, is a comparable app but is twice as expensive as Readdle at roughly $40 per year. Natural language parsing is a feature in both applications that enables you to enter text like “breakfast with Pavan at 12 tomorrow at Hidden Grounds,” which is converted into a calendar entry. Although Calendars by Readdle needs macOS 11.0 Big Sur or more recent, Fantastical does operate on earlier Macs running macOS 10.13.2 High Sierra. This year, Fantastical also introduced a more business-oriented scheduling tool that may help you find a slot with someone even if they don’t use the app.
The Mac App Store offers a free trial of Calendars by Readdle. Additionally, the business provides a seven-day free trial of the Pro edition, which enables you to use all the features of the software, including joining multiple accounts to consolidate your iCloud, Google, and Exchange calendars and tasks.
