Particle, a private company that helps their 140,000 developers in an Internet on Things (IoT) platform, reveals their newly updated cellular E Series that includes a surface-mountable design that accelerates PCB assembly, an embedded sim card that resist corrosion and mechanical failure, and a sensor for temperature ranges from -20 to 85C for hostile environment.
The Long Term Evolution (LTE) hardware has a powerful ARM Cortex MCU, an external flash which can be used for storing sensor data and redundant application back-ups, best-in-class cellular radio with leading u-blox’s SARA-R410 -02B module (2G/3G), and LTE M1/NB1 radios.
Particle is currently selling Particle E Series Evaluation Kit which includes an E Series Evaluation Board with LTE global in 100 countries worldwide and the developers or consumers can easily order it for $89 and they can also buy an individual LTE E Series modules starting at $69 per module with shipping lead time six to eight weeks.
