Facebook will now support higher quality videos and wider range of photos. As they have announced on their news blog, the app’s most recent update includes the ability to send 360-degree and panoramic photos and 720p videos.
A caveat though, is that you can’t capture either through your in-app camera. Messenger can only send said photos and videos in advance from your camera roll or previously saved photos and videos.
The 360-degree photo feature is now available to all Messenger users on Android and iOS, but the HD video sharing can only be accessed by users in Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Hong Kong, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Singapore, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, UK and the US on iOS and Android.
