Panasonic has added a new member to its Toughbook series of laptops- Panasonic Toughbook 40. Panasonic has finally launched this 14-inch rugged and hardy Toughbook 40 laptop in India quite recently. Previously, Panasonic has also released previous versions of the Toughbook.
The Toughbook 40 is one of its first 14-inch fully-rugged modular laptops that has been launched in the country. The company during the launch announced that this modular laptop “brings together the reliability and ruggedness of the Toughbook brand, modernised with more innovation to deliver unparalleled power, speed, and connectivity to support the evolving needs of mobile workers in today’s digitally transformed world.”
The Toughbook 40 which is all-black in colour is designed with the outlook to withstand and resist all kinds of extreme conditions, along with being equipped with military-level security and communication capabilities to support “mission critical operations.”
The Toughbook 40 sports a 1200 nit 14-inch FHD display. It is equipped with a configurable and modular design that supports seven modular user-replaceable locations, including four expansion areas (xPAK), as well as battery, memory, and storage customization options. The laptop is powered by Intel vPro 11th Gen i5 and i7 processors with AMD-dedicated graphics or Intel Iris Xe graphics.
For easy viewing in low-light environments, the Panasonic Toughbook 40 has a color-selectable backlit keyboard, a backlit power button, and keyboard icons. The Toughbook 40’s resistive touchpad has been reengineered to be 60% larger than its predecessors and is usable in the rain and while wearing gloves. The laptop claims 18 hours of battery life on one battery and 36 hours on two, with hot-swap capabilities that keep the device operational between battery swaps.
The Toughbook 40 is priced from Rs.3.75 lakhs. The device will be available through Panasonic distributors and system integrators, according to the company.
