Opera browser’s AI assistant called Aria can now summarize web pages that are text based. However this feature is currently available for Android users only.

Opera browser’s AI assistant called Aria can now generate summaries of web pages that are text based. This web page summarizing tool powered by Artificial Intelligence analyzes text based articles such as news reports, blog posts and research papers. It then condenses them into a short summary that typically fits on one screen.

Opera announced this new feature on Monday. It is expected that this new feature will help us to quickly understand a topic and focus on the important details.

How to use Opera’s AI assistant to generate summaries?

In order to use Opera’s AI assistant – Aria for generating summaries, you just have to follow some simple steps. Firstly visit any text based web page and then tap on the three dots which are present in the top right corner of the Opera Android browser. Select the “Summarize” option next to the Aria icon. A chat with the AI assistant will then pop up and it will contain the summary requested by you in it.

If you want to access this feature, you have to update to the latest version of Opera for Android and login to your Opera account or sign up for a new one.

A little more about Aria

Aria, Opera’s AI assistant, was launched last year and it functions like any other AI search companion. It has a chart boat like interface and answers questions instead of you having to search the web for answers. Most recently, Opera updated Aria with the ability to generate images using Imagen 2 by Google.
