Microsoft is killing off its Groove Music app for both Android and iOS. They had previously announced last year they would be retiring Groove Music’s streaming service but had still kept their app counterpart running until now.
A Microsoft spokesperson told The Verge, “Tomorrow we’re notifying customers that on December 1, 2018, the Groove Music iOS and Android apps will also be retired and, effective June 1, are no longer available for download,”
This means users will no longer be able to use the app to store and access MP3s and other music files from Microsoft’s cloud service, OneDrive. However, users can still directly access these files on the OneDrive app on either iOS or Android.
