The parent company of Facebook and Instagram, Meta Platforms said that it was expanding its offerings of generative AI products on Tuesday and is coming up with certain tools that can automatically overlay text, generate images and create ads.
Executives at a key conference said that this tool will first launch in its test form. It will be without the watermarks that Meta is applying to all images generated by its AI assistant, thus serving as a major safety feature.
Why use an AI-powered ad generation tool?
The parent company of Facebook and Instagram is currently investing billions of dollars into building and supporting generative AI models and several AI powered features. Besides, the company is also trying to convince advertisers that they will get the opportunity to be more involved in the creative aspects of campaigns and it will be convenient and economical for them if their work gets automated by artificial intelligence.
Advertisers will be able to use Meta’s image generation tool for uploading images of the products and then generating alternate versions of those images. As in, they would be able to adjust the orientation of the products and show people how they can be used in different settings.
