Despite its best efforts, Apple may still have to depend on rival Samsung for their OLED displays. First reported by the Wall Street Journal, a source has told them that LG is apparently having problems producing the said panels for Apple. This has reportedly caused the Korean company to fall behind on Apple’s supposed “pre-production timeline”. Then, Apple had asked LG to undergo prototype production for a third time.
Apple had been closely working with LG recently in hopes that they become their main supplier for displays in the future as they are currently being supplied by rival company Samsung.
