AMC Theaters chain gave a massive boost to meme based cryptocurrencies such as Shiba Inu and Dogecoin as they announced that they will be accepted as payments . One can simply pay for the movie tickets and the popcorn with the Shibu Inu or Dogecoin on the official AMC mobile app. These transactions will be facilitated via Bitpay.
AMC CEO Adam had earlier tweeted in march that the two cryptocurrencies Shiba Inu and Dogecoin will be accepted as payments on their website by march 19th and promised to have this facility available on mobile app by April 16th.
Well Adam confirmed the same by announcing on twitter that the AMC mobile app is ready to accept the crypto currencies as payment with Bitpay integration. All he asked users was to update the app to its latest version.
