Samsung has recently introduced a range of smart home appliances at its BKC store in Mumbai, aiming to revolutionize daily living with advanced technology. These appliances, including washing machines, refrigerators, microwaves, and residential air conditioners, are equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities to enhance convenience and efficiency in managing household tasks.
According to JB Park, President and CEO of Samsung Southwest Asia, the introduction of Bespoke AI marks a significant leap in home appliance innovation. Bespoke AI aims to enable smarter living for Indian households while promoting energy efficiency and sustainability. With features like customizable controls, user-friendly interfaces for all age groups, and seamless diagnostics, Samsung aims to lead the digital appliances market in India towards a greener, more connected future.
The Core Features:
Each appliance in this AI-powered lineup comes with built-in Wi-Fi, internal cameras, and dedicated AI chips, enabling seamless connectivity and smart control from anywhere. For instance, the refrigerator is designed with an AI vision camera capable of recognizing up to 33 different food items stored inside. It can even suggest meal ideas based on the ingredients available, simplifying meal planning.
Smart Control and Automation:
The AI-powered air conditioner goes a step further by sending users notifications to start or turn off their appliances when they enter or leave a specified range, all through the SmartThings application. Similarly, the microwave offers automatic customization of recipes, including options for a ‘low-fat’ version, catering to different dietary preferences effortlessly.
Adaptive Washing and Cleaning:
Samsung’s washing machine boasts AI capabilities that learn laundry routines over time, automatically adjusting wash cycles to suit the user’s preferences. It adapts to the most frequently used settings unless manually altered, ensuring convenience and efficiency in every wash. Moreover, the AI Wash feature intelligently senses factors like load weight, fabric type, soil level, and detergent quantity to create customized wash programs, optimizing cleaning performance.
With the integration of AI capabilities, managing household tasks becomes simpler and more intuitive, promising a smarter, greener, and more connected future for Indian homes.
