Last year after launching an i9 chip for desktops, users have been anticipating a release for laptops. Today, Intel has finally announced that they will be bringing their most advanced processor to mobile computers.
The Intel Core i9-8950HK, is what the company dubs the best gaming and creation laptop processor they’ve created, claiming to be 29 percent faster in overall performance, 41 percent in gaming and 59 percent in hi-res video editing than the i7 CPU. It also features “single-core Turbo Boost speeds up to 4.8GHz”, as noted by Engadget.
Intel will also be releasing i5 and i7 mobile CPUs for laptops, all of which will support Intel Optane storage.
With its overall speed and performance, the i9 CPU will be less appreciated by mainstream laptop owners and more by avid gamers and busy content creators who both need a processor to keep up with their demands.
