Instagram is planning to add a long-length video feature that can be uploaded by subscribers according to The Wall Street Journal.
Instagram has limited seconds when it comes to uploading a video through Stories or feeds. Videos on Instagram Feed approximately have a 60 second limit, while on Stories it has only a 15 seconds limit. The estimated active users were 800 million last September and Instagram Stories have 300 million viewers every day.
Similar to Facebook, Instagram has a live stream up to an hour. Facebook has a feature where users can upload a video that consists of an hour video length so Instagram, owned by Facebook, will have this new feature soon. This will help Instagram gain more users that will stay on the app longer.
This new feature will help to compete against other apps and the update will have its advantage to itself.
