HTC has announced the release of a new flagship smartphone this month. It will include HTC’s own metaverse version called Viverse. The HTC Viverse phone will be unveiled on June 28th, 2022, at the company’s “Login Future” event.
The company had previously planned to launch a new metaverse-centered smartphone in April. However, the launch was delayed due to supply chain issues. The smartphone is a flagship product, especially designed for people who want to use VR & AR with their phones. HTC’s Viverse phone will be officially unveiled later this month.
HTC Viverse phone will feature augmented reality and more
According to reports, the phone is designed for customers who want to use VR (virtual reality) and AR (augmented reality) apps. The upcoming HTC device will be compatible with the Vive Flow VR headset and may support augmented reality apps. The phone will be a flagship device, though some specifications are yet to be revealed.
The Exodus series of native block chain smartphones is already available from the company. This time, HTC is said to have collaborated with various local carriers. This would be the company’s first flagship phone since the HTC U12+ four years ago.
HTC Viverse phone features 4 rear cameras
The phone has four rear cameras. It features a 13 megapixel main sensor, a 5 megapixel ultra-wide sensor, a 2 megapixel depth sensor, and a 2 megapixel macro sensor. The device consists of an 8 megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
The handset runs on Android 11. A 4600mAh battery is also included, but there is no fast charging. In order to provide security, it has a fingerprint scanner on the back. The phone comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
For the unversed, HTC teased the device’s release date on Twitter. The Tweet contains an image of a mobile shape & HTC’s Viverse logo.
