The LiveWire electric motorbike from Harley-Davidson has released a teaser for its imminent debut. More information will be released next week, on May 10th. Harley-LiveWire Davidson’s is an all-electric sub-brand that has been working on its second model. The first is the company’s flagship electric motorcycle, the LiveWire One.
We knew the future model would be called the S2 or the Del Mar (or some combination) and that it would be a middleweight motorbike based on investor paperwork and earlier remarks from the firm. That implies it will most likely be intended to appeal to a broader spectrum of riders, both physically and financially.
The bike will most certainly be less powerful than the LiveWire One, which has an amazing 100 horsepower and an electronically regulated peak speed of 110 mph (177 km/h).
The future LiveWire Del Mar, which indicators suggest would be the name, will likely have significantly less power and a lower peak speed, allowing it to fight more directly with middleweight electric motorcycles like the Zero FXE.
Flat track racing is included in the film, which corresponds to prior design renderings of a flat tracker-inspired motorbike. Also, because these design concepts are many years old, the LiveWire Del Mar’s final design will very certainly be greatly changed.
However, we do know that Harley-LiveWire Davidson’s business has created the Arrow modular electric motorbike platform, which can be seen in both previous design concepts and recent patent photos, and will allow the company to manufacture many motorcycles on the same basic chassis. As a result, while the aesthetics of the forthcoming Del Mar may have changed, it makes sense. Harley’s bigger aims of capturing a dominant portion of the electric motorcycle industry, both domestically and internationally, need the introduction of a more accessible and more cheap middleweight electric motorbike.
