Yesterday, Emily Fifer, Google Manager’s Product Manager, posted in a blog post about the new features in looking for an event that interests a user.
On Google Search, a user who is looking for an event by typing “events near me” or “free concert” in the US, and the app will respond with the event’s information and recommendations. Google will give information such as a review of an event, location, date and time, where users order or get a ticket, and directions that will help them to decide if they want to attend or not. The user must tap a specific event to find out the overview. Users have an option to find more information about the event by clicking the event’s official website. They can also save and share the event so they can plan as they go.
The company confirmed that they are going to launch the upcoming features over the next few days.
