Google Photos is used by millions to save pictures in the cloud. Not the best in the category, Google always keeps improving its services. For the unversed, Google has just enabled a new feature to make the usage of the app more convenient. Prior to Google Photos’ new feature, users can only remove a file from the folder, but couldn’t completely delete it.

Issue fixed with new feature but with a hitch

Google Photos is innately a resourceful pictures storage app but sometimes can be disappointingly clunky as well. The issue is that troubled mobile users aren’t able to delete photos directly from an album, however, web users did not face this problem.

Google has resolved this issue but there is a hitch. Mobile users can move their pictures directly from an album to trash, but this is only applicable to private albums. They first need to delete the picture from the album and then from the library. This is the biggest flaw with Google Photos.

Besides web users, iOS users also relished this feature for quite some time, but it never existed before for Android devices. This drawback often makes the app difficult to use for shared album users. Users don’t want to jump the hoops to delete the shared picture. They demand a simple function minus the complexities. It seems that the users might have to wait a bit more to get this issue resolved completely.

David, the Product Lead of Google Photos had ensured Artem that they are on it. After three years, this issue finally seems to be resolved with new feature but not completely.
