Google announced the updated version of Google Maps desktop from a flat surface Earth to 3D Globe Mode.
Last week, the 3D Globe Mode was released on Twitter by the official account of Google Maps. According to the post, “Greenland’s projection is no longer the size of Africa”. When a user zooms out a place in the Google Maps, a Globe feature will show. Users can scroll or hold the globe circularly: upward, downward, sideward, or even diagonally using their mouse or arrow. The new feature will let users know the exact part or place of a specific country in the planet.
