According to the blog post by Aparna Chennapragada, Vice President of Google Lens and AR, AI camera will now offer a whole set of opportunities for discovering information and assistance.
Aparna Chennapragada said “To me, using our cameras to help us with our day-to-day activities makes sense at a fundamental human level. We are visual beings—by some estimates, 30 percent of the neurons in the cortex of our brain are for vision. Every waking moment, we rely on our vision to make sense of our surroundings, remember all sorts of information, and explore the world around us,“ She added that they started Google Lens last year to help users to remember all sorts of information, and searching the world. In using of Google’s AI-powered camera tool, it will automatically give information about the object that has been tapped by the user with their phones.
With the updated camera tool, it will help users in paying their bills, feed their parking meters, and gain more about virtually anything, in just pointing the camera.
