Yesterday, Google revealed the features of the latest Android version which was hailed Android 9 Pie for all Pixel phones.
Android 9 Pie has 10 features which include accessibility, battery and brightness, camera, digital wellbeing, display, enterprise, media, notifications, privacy & security, and system usability enhancements. For accessibility menu, it will let users to use with one hand in navigating or screenshots, the select to speak – OCR in Camera View feature, and Sound amplifier, the new service that can adjust over 100 settings to boost the audio. For battery and brightness include battery saver, adaptive battery, adaptive brightness, and background restrictions. The camera is supported by multi-camera and external camera. Digital wellbeing has a “Do not Disturb” option, app dashboard, wind down, and app timers. For Display, it will have display cut-out and edge-to-edge screens. Multiple users on a dedicated device, work lab in launcher, and the updated postpone over-the-air (OTA) are for Enterprice features. For media, users can now connect to five Bluetooth devices, sound delay reporting feature, volume memory per Bluetooth device, HDR, HD audio, and HEIF. Notifications enhanced its messaging app and users can manage their notification. For the privacy & security, Android will have backups, biometric prompt, protected confirmation, strong box, and privacy enhancements. The System Usability Enhancements have At-a-Glance on Always-on-Display, Redesign Quick Settings, volume controls, screenshots, rotation, new system navigation, app actions, slices, and overview selection.
The Android updates are now available on all Google Pixel phones.
