A minor but very useful update is now coming to Gmail. A report by Android Police states that Gmail 8.5.20 will let users customize both left and right swipe actions, so you can choose what happens to an email when you swipe it in either direction. A staff member had found the update after further inspection of the app’s APK.
In the settings, you can choose a swipe option for emails to either “Archive, Delete, Mark as read/unread, Move to, Snooze, or None.” According to the report, the customizable swipe feature had been out for a week. Sadly, the option isn’t available on iOS yet.
