Facebook will collaborate with the Hollywood’s favorite camera-maker RED to produce a high-tech reality camera that can be viewed in Six Degrees of Freedom (6DoF). This update was announced in Facebook’s F8 keynote developer conference last May 1.

Facebook’s Director of Engineering, Brian Cabral announced to the conference that the partnership will help both parties and they will produce the depth reconstruction to work better. It can also easier for directors to capture 3D content.

Facebook will market the future VR camera by RED to filmmakers and other people who want to create 3D videos or image. It will be a perfect match for Oculus GO headset, a standalone with comfortable design and feel VR system. Oculus is setup for both iOS and Android phones.

Facebook and RED have not yet announced the release date and how much it will cost.
