Facebook pre-launches its new dating app to be tested end-to-end by their US employees which is called “dogfooding”.
Last May 2018 at F8 conference, Facebook introduced its upcoming Dating features. Now, Jane Manchun Wong, a computer science student, posted a screenshots of the said upcoming dating app on her Twitter account with a caption of “Facebook is internally testing Facebook Dating. I can’t go past the signup screen because they are not activating all non-employee Dating profiles because, well, it’s “pre-launch”. The first picture in the screenshot has a headline of “For Facebook Employees”, which means the product is exclusively for employees only. It is to test the app’s bugs and confusing UI. This experiment is said to be completely voluntary and employment will not affect.
