Facebook Messenger’s latest update, version 170.0 for iOS, was released last June 15 to some unpleasant results. Users who have installed the update are complaining about the app constantly crashing and containing bugs. According to an earlier report by Newsweek, Facebook said “it was aware of the Messenger crash bug and was working to roll out another update that will fix the issues.
A company spokesperson has told The Verge a new update that fixes the old one’s problems is now up on the App Store, named Version 170.1. Despite the flawed, buggy 170.0 update, users can still chat with others after reopening the app after a crash.
