A grandfather’s unconventional approach to screen time has piqued the interest of social media users, including Elon Musk. A Twitter user provided a photo of his grandfather’s weekly screen time, demonstrating that he scrolled his gadget for an average of nine minutes each day, a 157% rise from the previous week.
For people of all ages, mindless browsing on social media sites for hours on end has become the norm. People spend a lot of time riveted to their displays, switching from one app to the next. This is not the case with this specific grandfather, who just spent 157% more screen time this week than the prior one. On Tuesday, a Twitter user named Max Palmer, who has a verified account on the social networking platform, uploaded an image of his grandfather’s weekly screen usage. He captioned the photo, “My grandpa’s screen time is elite.”
The gadget, dubbed Leonard’s iPhone, reveals that Palmer’s grandfather spent nine minutes every day scrolling on his cellphone. The segmentation revealed that he spent 31 minutes per week on productivity and finance-related activities, whilst his social and utility screen time was mapped at 12 minutes and 11 minutes, respectively. The image indicated that Leonard checked his email for 23 minutes in one week.
The true magic came hours later when the post got the notice of none other than Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter and the world’s richest man. Palmer, ecstatic, posted a screenshot of Musk’s like. “This is insane. “The power of Elon Musk liking your tweet,” he captioned.
Following the Tesla founder’s famous likes, the tweet began to circulate on the network. Palmer’s tweet had over 10.8 million views, 138.5 thousand likes, and countless retweets. Folks couldn’t help but admire Leonard’s unusual approach to screen time management. Many people began deciphering his screen time, while others asked Palmer to introduce Leonard to TikTok and Instagram Reels.
