Google has just released Chrome 67 for desktops and comes with a handy new feature. The browser now lets you sign-in to sites without entering a password. Google Chrome has finally enabled support for Web Authentication, an API that lets users register and log in to websites using different ways such as USB keys and biometrics (like facial images and fingerprints). The Web Authentication standard was first brought to browsers by Mozilla Firefox.
Other features added to Chrome on desktop are the Generic Sensor API and a trial for Site Isolation. The Generic Sensor API connects web apps to sensors in interactive devices such as fitness trackers and VR headsets. Meanwhile, Site Isolation separates each browser tab from sites to prevent them from accessing data.
