Camera details of Google pixel 9 series has been leaked ahead of its expected launch

The Made By Google event which is scheduled for August 13 is expected to unveil the Google pixel 9 series which is rumored to include 4 models, namely the base Google Pixel 9, the Pixel 9 Pro, the Pixel 9 Pro XL and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The camera information about the upcoming pixel 9 series smartphone has been leaked in a report ahead of its launch.

Expected camera details of Google Pixel 9

Google pixel 9 will retain the 50 megapixel Samsung GNK primary rear sensor just like the Pixel 8. According to report by Android Authority, it is expected to get a 50 megapixel Sony IMX858 sensor for the ultrawide shooter. The Google Pixel 8 however carries a 12-megapixel Sony IMX386 ultrawide camera.

The earning based pixel 9 model will reportedly retain the 10.5 megapixel Samsung 3J1 front camera sensor of the previous handset but is likely to include the auto focus feature which will help users to get clear images. According to the report Google Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL will come with identical camera setups. Therefore these models are expected to have the same 50 megapixel Samsung GNK sensor that we get to see in the Pixel 8 Pro.

The ultrawide, telephoto and selfie cameras will however get some major upgrades. Both the Google Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL are said to use the 50-megapixel Sony IMX858 sensor for their ultrawide, telephoto and selfie shooters.
