According to TechCrunch, Bragi, a well-known company that offers wearables business, will stop selling smart devices because they are planning to offer and focused on software, AI and IP.
Nikolaj Hviid, Bragi’s CEO, said in a statement, “Bragi’s technology suite is applied beyond our own products to partners and headphone brands.” Hviid added that the company’s Dash Pro has groundbreaking ultra efficient AI and software that will also include a voice command features such as Amazon Alexa, a language translation, and customized hearing. Bragi was being transformed into software, AI and IP licensing company.
TechCrunch added “We noted the seemingly inevitability of the move at last year’s Mobile World Congress, when one of its EVP’s told us, “At some point we may not be a hardware company anymore. That was the plan from the beginning. That was not really a secret.”
