Asus launches first Qualcomm snapdragon laptop

Asus today revealed the Vivobook S 15, the company’s first laptop powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon. The Snapdragon X Elite and X plus platforms from Qualcomm are utilized by the gadget. Up to a Qualcomm Oryon CPU with a Hexagon NPU (45 TOPs dedicated NPU) is included with the device. 

The Qualcomm Adreno GPU is used by the device for graphics processing. 

The Vivobook is the first laptop from Asus that is compatible with Windows AI features, yet it still has the 15.6-inch 3K refresh rate OLED screen that comes with its Intel equivalents. 

Up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, supported by up to 1TB of PCLe 4.0 SSD, are installed on the device by Asus. 

The device has Bluetooth 5.4 and WiFi 7 with Qualcomm FastConnect compatibility for connectivity. Additionally, Asus has included a lot of ports: the device features two USB4, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, one HDMI 2.1 TMDS, one audio combo line, and one MicroSD card reader. 

A 70Wh battery that can run the device for up to 18 hours powers it. The StoryCube software, which is exclusive to Asus and employs artificial intelligence (AI) to organize, modify, organize, and export RAW images and videos, is also included for the first time on the ViVobook. 

ASUS Co-CEO S.Y. Hsu stated, “We believe that these devices are the future of consumer PCs and will drastically change the way we will work, study, create, and play. The launch of our first ASUS Copilot+ PC powered by Snapdragon X Elite is an important milestone for us.”
